Consumer Products Manufacturing Company is looking for:
POSITION: Manager, Procurement
LOCATION: Sanger, California (Fresno Area)
SALARY: $100-125K + Bonus
DEGREE: Strongly Preferred
EXPERIENCE: 3-5 Years Purchasing and Procurement Experience
RELOCATION: Assistance Available.
General Description: Responsible for sourcing raw materials / product and negotiating terms with vendors while maintaining, re-evaluating, and expanding primary sources of supply, and assisting in obtaining secondary supply sources to promote appropriate competition and ensure continued production.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manages the purchasing of raw materials and finished items to be used in manufacturing.
Manages projects and rollouts, and works cross-functionally with all departments in order to meet the wide variety of purchasing needs for the entire corporation.
Maintains a keen awareness of market trends and has a working understanding of manufacturing processes.
Competencies: - Strong negotiation and project management skills- Knowledge and understanding of logistics- Knowledge of supply chain management- Knowledge of and the ability to use a PC as well as Microsoft Office Suite- Ability to acquire and evaluate data, and conduct pricing analyses- Ability to use Microsoft Excel- Ability to manage multiple database inputs.
Manage spend and supplier relationships to deliver targeted cost reduction, service and rebate income levels.
Provide effective escalation support to resolve issues affecting plant operations and or supply chain.
Negotiate and/or guide negotiation of supplier agreements and contracts.
Select and manage current suppliers and develop new sources to assure competitiveness and continuity of supply.
Form and lead a team of plant and divisional stakeholders to guide packaging purchasing.
Evaluate and assure suppliers compliance with agreements and performance targets for quality and service.
Ensure material cost and rebate data is current, accurate and available to stakeholders. Guide development and standardization of supporting data, tools and processes.
Manage and support cost improvement programs through value engineering and supplier innovation.
Support commercial team with competitive quotes and standard cost updates, market forecasts and business intelligence.
Provide collaborative leadership and expertise to internal and external stakeholders as required as part of the leadership teams.
Education AND Experience Requirements:
Degree Preferred but not required
3-5 years experience in a procurement role

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
