Job Overview:


Joining as a Senior Business Data Analyst, Investor Experience, which is within the Technology business unit, you will be responsible for analyzing and translating business strategy and objectives into business requirements based on technical information. The candidate should be capable of developing a vision for end-state deliverables and possess the drive to ensure that the vision and success criteria of the solution are met. This role will work with the firm's legacy Advisor Compensation team, providing partnership with our business partners to elicit requirements, as well as collaborating with the development team to establish successful maintenance and enhancement activities. As such, having an understanding of basic programming and SQL concepts is a must.



Responsibilities:


  • Liaison with business, product and development teams that support the Compensation area to conduct analysis of business processes, systems, and data to identify areas for improvement, streamline processes, and increase operational efficiency.

  • Document and develop functional requirements into actionable, development ready work items for an agile scrum team.

  • Perform data analysis to support validation of requirements and solutions assessment.

  • Manages customers' expectations and ensures technology solutions meet customers' needs.

  • Partner with multiple teams to triage and troubleshoot defects and technology related issues.

  • Communicate (both verbally and through appropriate documentation) with technical and non-technical groups on a regular basis as part of product/project support.

  • Conduct insightful, ad hoc analyses to investigate ongoing or one-time issues.

  • Document data sources and mappings to support reporting and other data requirements,

  • Manage and ensure requirements are met through the entire SDLC process by participating in design discussions, QA, UAT and deployment.

Requirements:


  • 1
    years working in the following Methodologies:
    Agile, SDLC, SAFe, experience as an SME Analyst or.

  • 2
    years collecting, organizing, analyzing, and disseminating significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • 2
    years of experience understanding basic concepts of relational databases and can write their own SQL queries for the analysis.

  • 1
    years of experience with Microsoft Excel and/or SQL experience, including querying the Database (SQL) to pull, aggregate and structure data in support of writing requirements for feature or problem analysis.

  • 2
    years working in a compensation workspace


Core Competencies:


  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks.

  • Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously and demonstrated ability to deal with ambiguity.

  • Creation of user stories and acceptance criteria.


Preferences:


  • Prior experience in creating workflows and diagrams for documentation of data and process flows is a plus.

  • Basic Programming awareness, primarily to step through logic to identify what a program might be doing. Examples include select, from, distinct, where, order by, identifying a variable, if, then, when, else, cursor, loop, case statement, group by, join, union, primary key, trigger, table, view, materialized view.

  • Experience with the financial services industry.

  • Ability to interface with customers to gather business needs and to present solutions.

  • Experience working with remote teams.



Pay Range:


$88,720-$133,080/year


Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
